Is Unconscious Bias Training a Sufficient Method to Overcome Workplace Bias?
In organizations of such complexity and diversity as today's corporate structure, Learning and Development (L&D) professionals are responsible for creating an inclusive environment where all employees will be treated with equality and justice. It is said that workplace bias is the most vivid of all such issues. Specifically, unconscious bias, because of the very fact that it often goes unnoticed but still has quite an impact on hiring, promotions, team dynamics, and all these things together tend to shape the overall organizational culture. It is, however, ignorant to suppose that unconscious bias has been reduced to a state that wouldn't interfere with one's work in such a case as we are discussing.
